For Microsoft partners, attaining Partner Designations is crucial for building credibility, unlocking IUR benefits (Microsoft Licensing to be used in your business), and being competitive in a highly saturated industry. Microsoft measures achievement through various areas, including performance (New customers), depth of expertise (skilling), and customer usage growth and workload deployments. Once your company attains a certain number of points (70 Points), it can be awarded a Partner Designation. However, the journey can be quite challenging, as it requires constant effort and investment. That's why we've gathered four effective ways to help you increase your score and get your Partner Designations with Microsoft.

1. Do an audit of all your customers: To increase your score, it is crucial to have all your customers correctly attached across all the different attribution types. By conducting an audit, you can identify areas where a customer is not attached to your partner centre, thus losing out on potential points that could boost your score.

2. Are you a CSP indirect reseller in the Modern work and Security space? Submitting CPOR claims for any work you have completed in the last 12 months can boost your numbers, as you currently get more points for a CPOR attach vs. automatic CSP attachments.

3. To increase skilling, audit the MCP ID’s connected to your Partner ID, by exporting your Learning Users, and do a drive attach across your employees and contractors.

4. For Azure & Business Applications (common data services): Partner Admin Link is key to increasing your score, Do this As soon as you start working on a customer tenant. This will help both your scoring and incentives.
